Owns the Total Store and Department Insights discussion with the retailer, directly with the customer, supporting key sales leadership meetings and informing division to help refine enterprise level strategy. Driving world class category and shopper leadership with our customers. Providing Best in Class Food and Beverage trends further establishing our relevancy and impact with retailers.

Location: The ideal candidate for this position will reside in Cincinnati, OH, Solon, OH, Arlington, VA or can be home-based.

Responsibilities: Driving Total Store and Department level results with the retailer, establishing Nestle as the "Voice of Choice" for retailer insight needs. Field team Ownership of Total Store and Total Dept level insights curation and customer project workstreams both Instore and Online. Chief owner of Aisle Leadership Platform discussions with retailer.

  • Provide Insights to drive superior Total Store and Department results, while embedding Nestle USA (NUSA) as part of a strategic Total Store and Department solution
  • Insight Lead for LRP/JBP/T2T retailer meetings partnering with Sales Lead Owner consulting with Catstrat and CMI Shopper as needed.
  • Owns developing the monthly and quarterly thought leadership to the customer & Sales VP/Director to further drive an objective Nestle view on insights that drive retailer growth.
  • Subject matter expert in Insights platforms + Retailer Insights platforms/organizations
  • Drive best in class Total Store and Department outcomes through activating key industry and custom tools(Vista Grande, MC T&L).
  • Collaborate with CatStrat teams to provide guidance and insights that offer an enterprise level benefit for total NUSA Total Store and Department Management.
  • Proactively uncover and develop key insights in partnership with Sales VP's/ Directors and Sr. CLM's to drive growth opportunities for the retailer through the use of market and consumer information that are linked to clear results/actions.
  • Responsible for diving into Retailer specifics of research and implications from our CMI partners and other vendors to ensure the connectivity and relevancy of the information.
  • Responsible for feedback loop with Total Store and Department Strategy to highlight areas worthy of exploration from customer specific work/Ensure EH linkage
  • Communication of custom insights as subject matter expert internally and externally
  • Curate and manage custom surveys and retailer specific testing and insights (w/CMI)
  • Ability to measure and translate the custom insights, retailer implications, and recommendations
  • Identify Total Store and Department growth solutions and use them in the development and activation of retailer-specific Total Store and Department business plans (with a Total Store and Department first approach) to achieve 4P objectives.
  • Support and/or develop 4Ps strategic direction based on Total Store and Department strategy, best practices from customers/account teams and quantitative feedback from the Hub & CMI.
  • Work with CD to support national business and Total Store and Department direction with customer Total Store and Department Initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Typically has a University Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience and 7+ years related work experience preferably within Category
  • Proven ability to excel with visualization and data simplification in presentations.
  • Strong ability to create Insight presentations and communicate in a succinct and compelling way with both internal and external Senior Leadership.
  • Knows how to Identify Total Retailer and or Department opportunity gaps with key retailers & develop a supporting sales story to address.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills, database management a plus
  • Accelerated knowledge of business-driving technology solutions for both scan, panel and Ecomm andbsurvey measurement platforms (Nielsen/IRI/Numerator/OneSpace/Datassential)
  • Very knowledgeable about most classes of trade and the total OMNI landscape.
  • Experienced at taking Organizational strategy and converting to compelling customer level execution (CAP guidelines and Total Store and Department Roadmaps).
  • Knowledge of operating models for key trade classes (Grocery, Drug, C Store, Mass, Club, Dollar)
  • Understands consumer packaged goods companies' strategies vs. private label
