The Recycle Center Baler Operator is responsible operating the baler to produce bales of recyclables that are consistent with the specifications established by the recycling center and the recyclables purchasers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Operating the baler, producing bales of uniform size and dimension as established by management.
2. Maintain a clean and organized work area
3. Observe and report any potential malfunctions of the baler.
4. Maintain an understanding of the recyclable commodities sorted and baled at the facility
5. Observe and report any unsafe activities or circumstances at the facility
6. Assist with the proper care and maintenance of the baler.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

* Normal setting for this job is Industrial process plant with heavy production equipment, rolling stock and inventory.
* Required to use motor coordination and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
* May also work in a variety of environment conditions, including wide temperature and weather variations including heat, cold, snow, rain, wind; noise and vibrations, fumes, odors and dust

OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Employees in this job classification must attend and participate in corporation sponsored training courses as assigned.
* Employees in this job classification are responsible for keeping up to date on current technology, as job appropriate, being used by Waste Pro USA.
* Any additional job duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.QUALIFICATIONS:

* Baler operator must have a clear understanding of the proper procedures for running the baler.
* Knowledge of the flow of work and ability to anticipate tasks that need to occur when processing recyclable materials.
* Prior experience as a baler operator is preferred.
* Ability to follow directions and work as a team or independently
