Job Description

This role serves as a team member of the Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM) Compliance Data & Systems team, as the AI Lead, leading, and managing the execution of ICRMs AI Use Cases, Tooling, ROI, and adoption of the resultant functionality and capabilities. The lead will work closely with ICRM management and teams on the technology and data strategies, AI solutions, use case submissions; represent ICRM messaging, communications, and participation at various Citi forums, taskforces or meetings on AI activities. The lead will engage in establishing policies, standards, metrics, governance and procedures where appropriate.

The key focus is to incubate innovative products, process improvements and solutions in support of ICRM activities, technologies, data and functions mitigating inefficiencies, improve reporting, leveraging large data sets, and prevent violations of law, rule, or regulation across the enterprise.

The lead is responsible for strategizing, investigating, collaborating, sandboxing, presenting, and collaborating on a risk management framework that maintains risk levels within the firms risk appetite. The lead will produce feasibility studies; identify self funding or measurable ROI opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Identify ICRM activities and functions that warrant an AI or similar solution
  • Collaborate, engage and participate in the technology innovation incubation programs for ICRM function, and Citi where appropriate.
  • Work with innovation teams across Citi to ensure cross-pollination of thinking and solutions.
  • Compare analysis to internal and market available solutions, present business cases in support of the idea, validating return on investment through self funding, or other profit and loss improvements.
  • Lead and own a collection of of ideas across a large set of Citi stakeholders to incubate and launch a portfolio of innovation projects.
  • Work with local technologists, in-country teams and labs to manage product builds in an iterative manner.
  • Help develop new methods, techniques, and best practices for launching ICRM related solutions, especially those heavily data oriented.
  • Work with the ICRM leadership to continue to evolve its culture of innovation, including messaging, marketing, and presentation of proven case studies, or user cases.
  • Help translate ICRM strategy and improvement goals across Citis clients, products and geographies in a succinct and clear manner; provide direction and guidance on the programs. For instance: Identify machine learning, define data needs, design solutions and identify potential tooling
  • Providing oversight and guidance over the assessment of broad complex issues, structures potential solutions and drives effective resolution with other senior stakeholders.
  • Uses excellent communication, leadership and strong management skills to influence a wide range of internal audiences including respective product, function, or regional compliance management.
  • Partner with training department to promote appropriate usage of tools and upskilling of the department
  • Ensuring Citis compliance risk governance framework meets global regulator requirements and is commensurate with the size, complexity, and risk profile of Citi.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly articulate automation requirements and results, and make practical recommendations for enhancements.
  • Keeping abreast of regulatory changes, new regulations and internal policy changes in order to further identify new key risk areas.

Qualifications

  • 5-10+ years management experience in complex, financial organization, with particular focus in innovative AI solutioning, ideas generation, solutions, process reengineering, Machine learning, Natural language processing, workflow, blockchain, protocols
  • 5-10+ years in data management and technology.
  • Broad knowledge of Compliance regulatory drivers; technology operations;
  • Strong market, product, regulatory and technical knowledge, process improvement experience.
  • Strong leadership experience, with an ability to influence Business Unit / Function role, translating Compliance, process and technology challenges and strategies into actionable measurable plans.
  • Proven ability, program management, executing complex change programs.
  • Collaborative partnership, engaging and delivering on Citis values and ethics.
  • Able to communicate and present in a clear articulate manner.

Education

  • Bachelors (4 Year University) Degree required
  • Advanced Degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$170,000.00 - $300,000.00
