Salary Range: $28.00-$35.00 Per Hour

SUMMARY:

The Landscaping Foreman is responsible for all grounds maintenance tasks related to the campus. This is a working landscaping position that requires the Landscaping Foreman to lead by working example on site.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Grounds Maintenance

  • Manages landscaping crew, accounts for all hours worked by crew, and ensures timely attendance by all crew members.

  • Responsible for the Operation and Maintenance of all worksite equipment, such as commercial walk behind mowers, string trimmers, back blowers etc.

  • Mowing of all turfgrass areas on campus

  • Seasonal planting of flowers, shrubs, and trees.

  • Apply herbicides to unwanted weeds in mulch beds, sidewalks, and roadways.

  • Prepare mulch beds with edge and mulch to planting beds.

  • Perform minor repairs on equipment utilized in groundskeeping.

  • Keep grounds, roads, and curbs clear of trash and debris at all times.

Snow Removal

  • Leads our crew onsite in all snow and ice management related services, under the direction of the onsite Project Manager
  • Mandatory attendance for all mobilized winter weather events. Our ability to deliver detailed snow removal services is of high importance to the mission of our client.
  • Snow Blower, Snowplow, Salt Spreader and Skid Loader experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of Landscape Foreman or Landscape Management experience.
  • Must be able to pass background check associated with access to military base and agency standards.
  • Must be punctual and arrive on time as scheduled by the onsite Project Manager.
  • Must be motivated to work outdoors in changing conditions.
  • Have physical strength, hand-eye coordination and endurance.
  • Must also be able to concentrate on their tasks.
  • The ability to understand and communicate information is also essential.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • High School Diploma or GED
