JOB TITLE: Vice President - Human Resources

DEPARTMENT: Human Resources - Professional Products Division (SalonCentric)

REPORTS TO: SVP Human Resources (PPD) & Brand Deputy President/and or President

LOCATION: St. Petersburg, FL (National Operation Center)

JOB SUMMARY:

The Vice President of Human Resources is a highly motivated, energized self-starter who will be a strategic partner to the senior leadership team and a visionary leader for all thing People and Culture. The candidate will have full ownership of Human Resources for all channels, (retail stores, field sales, supply chain network and our national operating center). The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development of our employees, our culture and strategically work with our leadership to design and develop the business for the future.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership in supporting the organization's long-term mission and goals; identify ways to support this mission through talent management and people analytics.
  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive Human Resources strategy that integrates and closely aligns with the business strategy inclusive of all HR disciplines/metrics.
  • Work with DEIB(Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging) to ensure a comprehensive strategy that supports an overall positive work culture that recognizes the strength of diverse backgrounds and attributes.
  • Identify key performance indicators for the human resource and talent management functions; assesses success and market competitiveness based on these metrics and other people analytics.
  • Research, develop, and implement competitive compensation, benefits, performance and feedback reviews and employee incentive programs working directly with corporate total rewards partners.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of HR operations and policies.
  • Coach, develop and manage a team of Human Resources Business partners across our many channels (field sales, retail stores, supply chain network and our national operating center).
  • Partner with salary planning to ensure all staff headcount follows budgets/trends.
  • Maintain continued knowledge of national employment laws and regulations.
  • Build strong partnerships with key leaders, HRBPs and Centers of Excellence
  • In partnership with our corporate partners manage an effective succession plan, including development of critical skills, leadership development and other learning programs to sustain the company's continued transformation and growth.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, Human Resources or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive human resources experience required with 3+ years' experience at the senior/executive level
  • Prior Retail Multi Unit/Multi State or Supply Chain experience a plus
  • Expert in state and federal employment regulations
  • Excellent collaborator and influencer with a solution-oriented mindset
  • Ability to analyze data and make effective decisions or recommendations to senior leadership, a metrics driven leader.
  • Experience working with a centralized people services structure
  • Ability to effectively present in front of senior leaders
  • Must be well organized and have strong communication skills
  • Must have the ability to interact and influence at all levels of the organization
  • Expert knowledge of the full Microsoft suite of software (word, excel, powerpoint etc)
  • Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Must be able to sit or stand at a desk for a full workday
  • Must be able to lift up to 20lbs
