About the role:

CLA is looking to hire an HR Director, Consulting & Outsourcing for our Talent Solutions practice who can sit in our Tampa, FL or Orlando, FL office. This role provides guidance and recommendations to external clients on HR related disciplines and advises on best practices. They serve as a resource for areas of compliance, labor & employment law, employee relations, payroll, benefits, and performance management. In addition to consulting, this role includes heavy Business Development work with specific revenue goals.

As an HR Director, Consulting & Outsourcing, you will:

  • Consultation/Strategy: Conducts in-depth HR assessments for clients, identifies areas of concern or areas for improvement, and recommends solutions. Compiles, writes, and delivers a detailed report (the HR Assessment) with specific recommendations and suggested prioritization. Understands the goals and strategy of client business. Builds relationships with clients and becomes a trusted advisor, serves senior leaders, employees, and liaises with vendors and providers as needed.

  • Seamless Service: Represents CLA in a positive and professional way. Acquires knowledge regarding the "business of CLA's business" to include revenue growth, profitability, quality and business metrics. Develops expanding marketplace presence competency. Identifies new opportunities and partners with other CLA Professionals to develop and drive HR programs and services for external clients. Conducts presentations internally and externally regarding HR services offered. Identifies client needs and suggests solutions, to include other CLA services.
  • Compliance/Policy Development: Provides guidance to clients on applicable federal, state and local HR labor & employment laws. Creates and/or updates company handbooks, policies, and hiring and termination practices. Researches and identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Leads and supports HRIS Implementation, Compensation, Benefits, Equal Pay, Workforce Planning, Leadership Coaching Succession Planning, and HR Assessments. Consults with clients to understand business needs evaluate culture, compensation, related to their people programs.
  • Team Lead: Manages full engagement and associated HUB members. Responsible for the team's adherence to budget, timeline, scope and the accuracy and quality of the team. Serves as a Pod Growth Network leader and may serve on the Talent Solutions leadership team.
  • Training/Mentorship: Develops & conducts HR related training for client. Advises and develops recruiting and retention strategies for client's business. Trains Generalist/Senior Generalists on technical tasks, provides performance feedback and coaching as appropriate, specifically including business development coaching.

What you will need:

  • 7 years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree required (combination of education and experience may be considered a degree equivalent)
  • SHRM-PC or equivalent required
  • Knowledge of regulations and compliance related to wage and hour, federal, and state rights laws
  • Proficiency with Microsoft (MS) Windows and Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Understanding of time reporting systems, billing process, and management of client engagement/project from start to finish
  • Ability to learn HRIS and other technology as needed
