Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Project Architect / Managing Architect to join a multi-disciplinary team in our casual, friendly and high-energy Architecture Department. We offer full service in-house architecture/engineering design capabilities and typically work on a diverse array of projects including Higher Education, Municipal Facilities, Industrial, Design-build, Aviation and Healthcare.

We are looking for a self-starter with strong design, project management, technical and creative skills to provide architectural design and project management services. Responsibilities include management and oversight of projects including design, quality, schedules, budgets, and client liaison. Must also coordinate with other disciplines within and outside of the firm. In addition, there will be opportunities to participate in marketing activities (i.e. development of technical and cost proposals) to assist in growing our architectural business unit specifically in the Higher Education and Healthcare sectors. Additionally, the position could include personnel management responsibilities.

Responsibilities include working on all phases of projects such as client relationships, design, specifications, project team coordination, construction documents, code analysis and consultant interaction.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • 15+ years of related architectural design and project management experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture and professional licensure.
  • Comprehensive understanding of design and construction documents.
  • Proficiency in REVIT is preferred.
  • Knowledge of building codes.
  • Ability to succeed in small and large multi-disciplinary team environments.
  • Ability to set deadlines, assign resources, monitor/summarize project progress.
  • Good graphic, communications (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with ability to lead small project teams and multiple projects from concept to construction.
  • Higher Education and Healthcare experience

Estimated Compensation Range: $100,000-$125,000/year*

*Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
