HEICO is currently recruiting a New Business Development - Airlines & Commercial Aerospace for its Seal Dynamics Business Unit, located in Tampa, FL.

PRIME RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare, manage, and analyze airline usage data files in search of new product development opportunities.
  • Gather and research required technical data from airline technical documents (IPC, AMM, CMM, etc.), usage files, and/or Purchasing/Engineering personnel, as well as HEICO sales personnel.
  • Support sales personnel, as needed, on visits to airline Engineering, Purchasing and Maintenance personnel.
  • Prepare and justify business cases to launch the product development process to the senior leadership team.
  • Locate, negotiate, and procure (OEM) sample parts for new product development efforts as required.
  • Manage the requests related to customer commitments with the sales team members based around the world.
  • Attend new product kick off meetings and Engineering Project Status Meetings.
  • Attend and support corporate meetings as required.
  • Attend and support meetings at airline and MRO customers as needed.
  • Maintain New Product Development (NPD) tracking reports and provide scheduled status updates to Senior Management.
  • Work closely with NY Distribution team members to support strategic partners.

EDUCATION / PRIOR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's (BS) Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering or Business, from an accredited college or university.
  • At least 7+ years of aviation experience preferably with knowledge of aircraft parts, documentation and FAA certification processes.
  • Experience selling to and/or working with airline personnel offers a significant advantage.
  • Demonstrated keen understanding of the commercial aircraft and MRO market is a plus.
  • Basic familiarity with manufacturing methods and processes related to the creation of a wide variety of aircraft parts, including engine, airframe, and interior items. Understanding of costs associated with various manufacturing methods.
  • Moderate domestic and international travel to airlines, MRO shops, and various airline/MRO conferences.
  • Understand and drive decisions based on financial, resource capacity, suppliers, and market factors.
  • Goal-oriented and self-motivated with solid organizational skills and strict attention to detail
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey information and ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Must have strong follow-up skills and the ability to develop productive business relationships via the phone, e-mail, and in person.
  • Strong analytical skills and solution-driven thinking. Ability to collect and research data and use intuition and experience to complement the data.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint, & PowerBI).
  • Ability to prioritize, balance, and manage multiple items with deadlines while delivering effective results.
