Senior Requirements Analyst

This position requires an active Secret clearance.

The Senior Requirements Analyst shall assist the Chief, Integrated Command Control, and Communications (C3) Systems by providing recommendations for defining requirements and supporting multiple programs supporting the Air Force Forces (AFFOR) staff, Air Operations Center (AOC), Air Defense Sectors (ADS), and Continental United States (CONUS) fighter units supporting CONR-1AF (AFNORTH & AFSPACE), Operations NOBLE EAGLE (ONE), United States Space Command (USSPACECOM) and United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) assigned missions.

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Senior Requirements Analyst: Pay commensurate with experience.

Senior Requirements Analyst Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise on the planning, development, testing, acquisition, and sustainment of air defense systems, sensor systems, air and ground communications systems, counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS), battle management systems, Ground Based Air Defense (GBAD), Electro-magnetic Pulse (EMP), and other Command Control, Communications and Computer (C4) systems and processes.
  • Have extensive knowledge of information technology, standard office automation software, and information security. The ability and experience working in classified environments with sensitive information and working with senior military leaders in a fast paced, high stress environment.
  • Provide expert guidance to effectively execute and administer operations initiatives.
  • Develop position papers, presentations, and background information on assigned projects.
  • Support the Integrated C3 Systems Division as a project manager for specific assigned tasks.
  • Work closely with AFFOR staff, higher headquarters, assigned units, and other interagency partners to breakdown tasks and direct efforts to a successful conclusion.
  • Provide training and support to personnel related to C3 capabilities development, acquisition, operational and developmental testing, systems fielding, and sustainment.
  • Be capable of providing surge support during command contingencies (i.e., Homeland Defense and Defense Support of Civilian Authorities (DSCA) events.)
  • Provide additional support as required.
  • Be required to travel on occasion to support mission needs.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Senior Requirements Analyst Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • This position requires 10-15 years' experience in air defense systems, program/project management, military doctrine, planning functions, and 4-5 years on a CCMD, Service Headquarters, MAJCOM, or Component Staff.
  • Extensive experience in requirements analysis, including gathering, documenting, and validating requirements for complex projects or systems.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or senior role within requirements analysis teams, demonstrating the ability to guide and mentor junior analysts.
  • Proficiency in various requirements elicitation techniques to understand and document user needs and project objectives.
  • Familiarity with requirements analysis tools and software that facilitate effective documentation and management of requirements.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex requirements to diverse stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Understanding of project management principles, as requirements analysts often work closely with project managers to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Strong critical thinking skills to assess the feasibility and impact of requirements on projects and systems.
  • Ability to identify and address challenges related to requirements, proposing effective solutions to meet project objectives.
  • Skill in managing relationships with various stakeholders, including clients, end-users, and development teams.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of requirements analysis processes and methodologies.
