The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is a technologically advanced law enforcement organization seeking a highly motivated individual to work in an application development/support role. We are looking for a professional who has demonstrated expertise in information technology practices and procedures who can gather requirements, design, develop, modify and implement software applications, both developed in-house and purchased.
Job Duties:
Participate and lead in the design, development, and maintenance of software tools and systems that will enhance the efficiency of the agency
Microsoft 365 based application development eg: SharePoint, Streams, Flow, PowerApps, Power BI
Microsoft Azure development and DevOps
Involved with design and maintain back-end data processing and data warehouse process for product data retrieval
Provides input for, and lead improvement efforts towards the efficiency of processes and/or projects
Create and maintain documentation of data related programs and processes
Analyze and revise existing and new data system software and documentation
Provide leadership by instructing, mentoring and training team members within and outside the work group
Experience with Web Services
Ability to convey technical and conceptual ideas/topics to non-technical personnel
Presentation skills
Project Management Skills
Familiarity with Windows environments
Experienced in Web Application Development
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Structured troubleshooting skills
Strong analytical skills

Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Technology or related field
Six (6) years' experience in information technology specific to the assigned discipline (i.e. application development, database administration, etc.) that includes customer service
Or equivalent combination of education and experience
Additional qualifications as identified by the assignment
Must possess a valid Florida driver's license
