Fortinet Inc. is looking for a Sr. Software Developer with extensive data processing knowledge to join our team. This position provides broad experience and direct involvement with complex and innovative technologies. Additionally, you'll work with a tight-knit team of experienced software developers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of the functions and systems of data security protection products.
• Based on the industry's mainstream data analysis technology, participate in the planning and construction of data security product infrastructure and technical systems, including data collection, data asset classification management, data permission planning, automated inspection of data operation compliance, etc.
• Participate in the R&D and improvement of core technologies and be responsible for the code writing of core functional modules
• Participate in product demand analysis and be responsible for the preparation of technical documents such as outline design and detailed design.
• Lead developers to carry out system development, be responsible for code review, and be able to solve technical problems in the team.

Work requirements:

• Proficient in Python language and have more than 3 years of experience in Golang or Java programming language. Familiarity with developing multi-threaded applications and working with concurrency primitives.
• Participate in data processing, analysis, mining and other related projects
• Master the theoretical knowledge of data warehouse and data model design methods, and have the theoretical foundation of data mining, data crawling and machine learning.
• Familiar with message queues, database transactions, caching, load balancing, etc.
• Experience in extracting text from rich text file formats such as MS Office, Adobe PDF, etc.
• Experience with data processing using the Internet Content Adaptation Protocol (ICAP)
• Experience implementing REST APIs as both client and server side
• Experience with programmatic access to repositories (e.g. NFS, Sharepoint, AWS S3, Google GCS, etc.) is a plus

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000-$185,000. Fortinet offers employees a variety of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k), 11 paid holidays, vacation time, and sick time as well as a comprehensive leave program.

Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.

All roles are eligible to participate in the Fortinet equity program, Bonus eligibility is reviewed at time of hire and annually at the Company's discretion.
