Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

POSITION & REQUIREMENTS SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for overseeing the planning, storage, control, and distribution of materials and products according to company needs and customer requirements for CAE's Healthcare inventory. The main goal of this position is to ensure that CAE Healthcare has the right amount of stock to meet customer needs, monitor and report company inventory levels and develop inventory tracking systems and review level of supplies.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and implement an inventory tracking system for optimized inventory control procedures.

  • Manages the inventory and maintain its accuracy with inventory management process.

  • Oversees the inventory levels and lead the team that doesthe day-to-day operations in the stockroom (including cycle count, picking and yearly inventory counts).

  • Manages material analyst resource that support our master production schedule and material control analyst supporting inventory levels.

  • Lead various improvement projects to reduce inventory costs.

  • Oversee assembly team creating kits and improve kitting process for simulators.

  • Coordinates the flow of material with demands through planning, purchasing and logistics.

  • Manage inventory controls to ensure inventory levels are managed and reported on.(Cycle Counts, Scrap, Inventory Turns).

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels for finished and access to all types of material.

  • Maintain inventory as required by the sales and operations planning process, customer requirements, production schedules and corporate inventory management objectives.

  • Review the current inventory for the raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods and provide monthly summary.

  • Generate and maintain KPI's.

  • Ensure work instructions are in place to guide the employees through each task.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 7 years' experience with Inventory Management including 2 years in people leadership position.

  • Knowledge and experience of stock management, (Min/Max and Kanban a plus)

  • Knowledge and experience generating and completing cycle counts with reconciliations

  • Ability to manage data for analysis and reporting including to upper management

  • Ability and experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives

  • Excellent communication and change management skills.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites.

  • Team spirit, sense of initiative and leadership.

PREFERRED:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or similar field or equivalent combination of studies and experience

  • Familiar with MRP and ERP

  • APICS, CPIM, CSCP certification

  • Deltek / SAP/ Oracle ERP experience

  • PowerBI experience

  • Previous experience working with supply chain logistics companies to manage inventory, assets, and customer assets is helpful.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • High level of computer expertise in Microsoft products.

  • Various logistics software's including Fed Ex, UPS, DHL.

TRAVEL REQUIRED:

  • Travel is required as necessary, <10%

GENERAL:

  • Complies with and enforces all applicable safety rules, regulations and procedures both at CAE Healthcare and wherever CAE Healthcare is.

  • Performs all duties in compliance with and enforces all applicable legal and ethical standards including CAE's Code of Business Conduct, CAE's policies and procedures, country laws and regulations, Federal and States or Provincial Laws, policies and standards.

  • Maintains security of all proprietary information.

  • Performs other duties as assigned or as necessity dictates.

  • Ability to lift or push 15 pounds.
